Die Ergebnisse der Konferenz der Päpstlichen Akademie der Wissenschaften zur Grünen Gentechnik liegen als deutschsprachige Broschüre vor: "Transgene Pflanzen für die Ernährungssicherung im Kontext der internationalen Entwicklung". Herausgeber ist das Forum Grüne Vernunft.

Die Deutsche Industrievereinigung Biotechnologie (DIB) kritisiert die geplante Einführung „gentechnikfreier“ Regionen. Vorgesehen sind sie in den Koalitionsverträgen in Baden-Württemberg und Rheinland-Pfalz sowie bei den Planungen der EU-Kommission.

Am 25. Mai 2011 werden die Ergebnisse einer Studienwoche der Päpstlichen Akademie der Wissenschaften zum Thema GVO präsentiert. Das Forum Grüne Vernunft publiziert sie als deutschsprachige Broschüre und lädt ein zum Pressegespräch mit Prof. Ingo Potrykus und Prof. Klaus Ammann.
